Our products are transported in a refrigerated truck to the delivery address.
Ideally, someone will be at the delivery address to take the delivery, otherwise, the product will be left at the premises in a location determined by our driver, noting any specific delivery instructions as stated at the time of order.
You are responsible for the security of the goods once delivered and we will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs as a result of our delivery to that location. To ensure the product quality is maintained, it is recommended that the box is transferred into adequate refrigeration immediately, and no longer than 1 hour from the time of delivery (2 hours for Sydney deliveries).
Our delivery driver will send a text to the nominated mobile number if no one is home at the time of delivery. You are responsible for inspecting all products you receive from us for any damage or other issues, upon delivery.
Our chilled product when stored correctly should be consumed or frozen as soon as possible, ideally by Sunday 18 December.
Your meat will be delivered Cryovaced, which is a superior form of packaging that allows fresh goods to be kept fresher for longer. There are some short-term effects of using Cryovac packaging, but we believe these few are outweighed by the advantages.
Specifically, the meat may change to a darker red colour while in the packaging due to the lack of exposure to oxygen. The meat will may also sweat while in the packaging and this can result in a slightly unpleasant smell when you first open the packaging.
To overcome both of these effects all you need to do is when you’re ready to eat your meat, simply remove it from the packaging and leave it out for 10-15 minutes. When out of the packaging and exposed to oxygen again the meat will slowly return to the usual red colour.
