Livestock Manager – Central West, NSW

 

We are seeking an experienced Livestock Manager – sheep role, located in the central west of NSW.

 

This role would provide a rare opportunity to start a large-scale merino based enterprise at ground level. This exciting once in a lifetime opportunity would allow the successful applicant to lead the development of a profitable large-scale livestock enterprise.

 

The role will be responsible for:

– the overall management of livestock whilst maintaining a high level of team compliance WH&S, QA, animal welfare & environmental obligations
– pasture management & feed budgeting
– marketing, procurement and selection of suitable animals
– managing contractors
– general manual tasks associated with farming

We are seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to join our growing team at Riverlands Free Range.

 

The Farm Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a 6 shed Free-range poultry farm, with the aim of achieving longer-term production goals by following sustainable livestock management practices and improving the overall efficiency of the operation.

Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor – AAMIG, Brisbane, QLD

 

The EH&S Advisor plays a key role in promoting a safety culture across the workforce and is expected to possess solid experience in providing environmental advice in supporting the HSE function and an understanding of the requirements and professional judgement needed to deliver effective practical outcomes.

 

Key accountabilities include:

 

– Assist HSE&Q Manager to implement effective policies, procedures and systems for the business to ensure organisational and regulatory HSE&Q obligations are met
– Drive the HSE&Q reporting and analysis and ensure that timelines for key reports are met.
– Provide contemporary and practical HSE&Q advice as required across the business and utilise your influencing and coaching skills to improve site compliance and outcomes.
– Provide regular communication across the business to promote HSE&Q awareness and effectiveness.

Governess/Teacher – Legune Station, Timber Creek, NT

 

We are looking for an experienced Governess or qualified Teacher to join the team at Legune Station.  You will be responsible for teaching a class of three students (Pre-School to Grade 2), supported by Katherine School of the Air.  You will have the use of a well-appointed separate school room, close to amenities.  This position will have a start date of January 2020.

 

Key responsibilities include:

– Teaching a class of three school aged children the Katherine School of the Air curriculum during the week;

– Overseeing the curriculum planning and implementation of learning programs;

– Providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for the students in your care;

– Occasional weekend work which could include, but is not limited to, cooking, domestic duties and assisting the stock camp;

– Willingness to travel to Katherine & other locations for school related events.
